WHO ARE WE?

About the company

GCR AD is a Bulgarian engineering company that specializes in analyses, management, and design solutions for the power sector and industry. The company was founded in 1995 in Sofia as a joint-venture between Risk Engineering Ltd. from Bulgaria and the American engineering firm Gilbert Commonwealth International Ltd. seeking to better serve the local technical consulting market. A number of ownership transformations over the years culminated at the end of 2016 when GCR was acquired by Dr. Eng. Bogomil Manchev, an internationally recognized expert in nuclear energy, co-founder, and long-time CEO of Risk Engineering. The key engineering team with decades of experience and deep expertise, together with whom Dr. Eng. Manchev had previously developed Risk Engineering, decided to follow the move, and transferred to GCR soon after.

Today, GCR is among the leading Bulgarian providers of engineering and scientific and technical consulting services in the energy sector. Our team is composed of highly qualified experts with a large portfolio of successfully completed projects. Our experts have experience in all power generation technologies – nuclear, conventional, and renewable, including energy efficiency technologies. The company offers a wide range of services, with a focus on safety assessment and management for the nuclear power sector.
