Project scope

The project entitled “Modernization of Boron Meters” covers all activities necessary for the replacement of 14 existing concentrators type NAR-12 and 24 boron meters type NAR-B at Kozloduy NPP units 5 and 6. The purpose of the replacement is to ensure continuous and reliable operational measurement of the boron-10 (10B) isotope concentration in the aqueous boric acid solution (H3BO3) in the first loop heat carrier and in the safety system tanks. The metrological traceability of the measurements is ensured by standards certified in all operating modes of the reactor plant. The accuracy of the measurements shall comply with current regulatory requirements.

Within the project, the GCR team is responsible for the design activities:

• Survey and Input Data;
• Design;
• Author supervision during installation and commissioning of the equipment;
• Preparation of execution documentation.
