Object
A program for the uprating of Units 5 and 6 of Kozloduy NPP to 104% of their nominal power capacity is being implemented at the power plant. Studies conducted as part of the program demonstrated that the amount of heat which needs to be removed from the electrotechnical steel and coil of the turbogenerators of Units 5 and 6 increases in proportion to the increase of their power output. Therefore, the need arises to reconstruct the auxiliary systems designated 5,6 SS, 5,6 ST and 5,6 VC responsible for the cooling of these turbogenerators TBB-1000-4УЗ.
Scope of the project
The scope of the project includes the development of a design for the reconstruction of auxiliary systems 5,6 SS, 5,6 ST and 5,6 VC responsible for the cooling of these turbogenerators TBB-1000-4УЗ. The design is developed in two phases: conceptual and detailed design.
Results
Five variants for the reconstruction of cooling are developed by the team at the conceptual design stage. The Employer chose the variant which envisages the restoration of normal system operation of 5,6 VC, without the installation of additional cooling capacity. The variant has the benefit of featuring the lowest capital expenditures. The team elaborated the variant chosen by the Employer into a detailed design, in compliance with local investment design legislation.
